Opportunity:Stone Soup 2019

Date:04/05/2019 - 04/06/2019

Agency:Life Stories Child and Family Advocacy

You are invited to join us at Stone Soup 2019. The theme this year is ?Hunger Never Takes a Vacation.? We will be highlighting the Summer Feeding program, and exploring how together we can feed hungry children and their families through supporting Weld Food Bank. Guests will enjoy a delicious dinner, live music, and bidding on a wide variety of auction items. Best of all, you will be making an impact on your community by helping us run the event and reach our $350,000 goal for all our hunger relief programs.

On Friday, April 5th (the day before the event) volunteers are needed for set up and decorations. On the day of the event, Saturday, April 6th volunteers are needed for greeting and registration, as servers and to help with clean-up.

Opportunity:Become an Advocate for Abused and Neglected Children

Date: -

Agency:Life Stories Child and Family Advocacy

There are 200 children in Weld County waiting for a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate). YOU could be their CASA. Children who face abuse and neglect need caring adults to not only help them survive the traumatic events they faced, but to help them thrive in their futures. As a CASA, you can advocate on behalf of our community?s most vulnerable children and support them in their quest for safe, permanent homes. You can protect their best interests while you help them navigate through the court system.

Life Stories Child & Family Advocacy recruits, screens, trains, and supervises CASA volunteers. The next training begins June 1st. If you?re interested, contact Kodie at 970-353-5970 or kodie@lifestoriesweld.org. Our website www.lifestoriesweld.org/casa/ also has information on the CASA Program.
